U.S. Copyright Law

Every piece of artwork displayed on this website and on my official social media accounts is protected by United States copyright law the moment it is created. Under the Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. §§ 101 et seq.), I, Jenna Larco, am the sole copyright owner of my original artwork unless I have expressly granted a written license. Copyright gives me the exclusive legal right to reproduce, distribute, display, license, and create derivative works from my artwork (17 U.S.C. § 106). Downloading my artwork, removing my signature, uploading it to another website, posting it on another platform, printing it onto products, using it in advertisements, selling it, or claiming it as your own without my written permission constitutes copyright infringement. Removing or altering copyright management information, such as my signature or copyright notice, may also violate 17 U.S.C. § 1202.

What Happens If You Steal My Artwork

If you copy, upload, distribute, reproduce, or sell my artwork without permission, I will actively enforce my rights. Depending on the circumstances, you may receive a cease-and-desist letter, DMCA takedown notices, marketplace infringement complaints, and, when appropriate, legal action in federal court. I work with legal counsel and have enforced my intellectual property rights before, and I will continue to do so.

United States copyright law provides significant remedies for infringement. Depending on the facts of the case and applicable law, a court may award statutory damages of up to $150,000 per willfully infringed work (17 U.S.C. § 504), order the infringer to surrender profits earned from the infringement, award actual damages, issue injunctions stopping further use (17 U.S.C. § 502), order the impoundment or destruction of infringing materials (17 U.S.C. § 503), and, in appropriate cases, award attorneys' fees and costs (17 U.S.C. § 505). Online marketplaces, websites, and social media platforms may also remove infringing content or suspend accounts under their copyright enforcement policies and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512).

If you have built a business, website, online store, social media account, or product line using my artwork without authorization, do not assume you are protected because you found the image online. Copyright law does not require my permission to be asked after the fact—it requires it before you use my work.

My Copyright Enforcement Policy

If you are currently using my artwork without written permission, remove it immediately from your website, online store, blog, social media accounts, Pinterest, marketing materials, advertisements, print-on-demand products, digital downloads, AI datasets, or any other third-party platform. Continuing to use my artwork after receiving notice may be considered evidence of willful infringement.

I take copyright infringement seriously because my artwork represents thousands of hours of original creative work. If I discover unauthorized use of my artwork, I will pursue every legal remedy available to me. That may include formal takedown notices, cease-and-desist demands, recovery of profits earned from unauthorized sales where permitted by law, claims for damages, and any additional relief authorized by the Copyright Act.

Respect artists. License artwork legally. If you would like to use my artwork, contact me to obtain the appropriate written permission before using it. Unauthorized use is not a shortcut—it is copyright infringement, and I will enforce my rights under United States law.
